Lake Nagawicka, (Nagawicka Lake as the locals call it), lies within the boundaries of the City of Delafield and the Village of Nashotah. Nagawicka is an excellent family lake - great for swimming, sailing, fishing and water skiing. There are sandbars to the west of St. John's Island and along the western shoreline of the lake that make for great swimming spots. This lake tends to have less boat traffic and is much quieter than many of the surrounding lakes due to limited boat launching availability. Nagawaukee Park on Hwy. 83, lies on the eastern shoreline and has a public boat launch for the lake with trailer parking. Nagawaukee Park also offers a nice swimming beach, picnic areas, and a small campground area. The lone public establishment on Nagawicka is the popular Seven Seas Restaurant. Fishing is good for Bluegill, Crappie, Perch, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, White Bass, Walleye and Northern Pike. |
